The Really Important Stuff
Food Allergies & Dietary Needs
Please read this part. Seriously.
We trust that you've told us about any food allergies, and we'll do our best to flag potential issues with your recipes or generated meal plans. But here's the thing:
- We're software, not nutritionists. We can't guarantee we'll catch everything.
- We can't be there when you're buying the food. Please read all ingredient labels carefully.
- Recipes change, products change. That "safe" brand might reformulate. Always check.
- Cross-contamination is real. We can't account for how food is prepared or processed.
If you or someone in your household has serious food allergies, please:
- Always double-check ingredients yourself
- Don't rely solely on our suggestions
- When in doubt, consult an actual medical professional
We're here to make meal planning easier, not to replace your judgment about what's safe to eat.
The Basics
What This Is
Just One Plan is a meal planning app. We help you figure out what to eat, make shopping lists, and organize your week. Some features use AI. It's meant to be helpful, not to replace professional advice.
Who Can Use It
- You need to be at least 13 years old
- If you're under 18, a parent needs to be involved
- One account per person (household members get added to your account)
Your Account
- Keep your password secure
- You're responsible for what happens on your account
- Don't share your login with people outside your household
Subscriptions & Money
How Billing Works
- Free tier: Does what it says. Free.
- Plus/Pro: Monthly or annual. Renews automatically.
- Trials: If we offer one, it converts to paid unless you cancel.
Where You Pay Matters
- Website: Stripe handles it. We see almost nothing about your payment method.
- iOS: Apple handles it. Apple's rules apply.
- Android: Google handles it. Google's rules apply.
Canceling
- Cancel anytime in your account settings (or through Apple/Google if you subscribed there)
- You keep access until the end of your billing period
- We don't do partial refunds for time remaining
- If you subscribed through Apple/Google, you need to cancel there — we literally can't do it for you
Refunds
Generally, no refunds. But if something went genuinely wrong, email us and we'll figure it out like reasonable humans.
What You Can (and Can't) Do
Cool, Go Ahead
- Use the app for personal meal planning
- Share your account with your household
- Export your data
- Give us feedback (we actually read it)
Please Don't
- Try to break the app or access stuff you shouldn't
- Use it for commercial purposes without asking
- Scrape our data or abuse our AI features
- Share your account with people outside your household
- Upload anything illegal or harmful
Your Recipes & Data
What's Yours
- Recipes you create or import are yours
- Your meal plans and lists are yours
- We don't claim ownership of your content
What We Can Do With It
- Store it (obviously)
- Display it back to you (also obviously)
- Use it to make the AI features work
- Include it in anonymized, aggregated data (like "50% of users plan chicken on Tuesdays")
We won't sell your individual recipes or share them publicly.
AI Features — Set Expectations
The AI is helpful but not perfect:
- Recipe suggestions might not account for every preference or restriction
- Photo scanning might misread ingredients
- Meal generation is a starting point, not gospel
Always review what the AI suggests. It's a tool, not a chef.
The Lawyer Stuff (Simplified)
"As Is"
The app works pretty well, but we can't promise it's perfect or will work 100% of the time. Sometimes things break. We fix them as fast as we can.
Liability Limits
If something goes wrong:
- We'll try to make it right
- But we're not liable for more than what you paid us in the last 12 months
- We're definitely not liable for things outside our control (like you ignoring an allergen warning)
Disputes
If we have a disagreement:
- Let's try to work it out like adults first
- If that fails, there's an arbitration process (see the full terms)
- No class actions — it's just you and us figuring it out
Ending Things
You Can Leave Anytime
Delete your account in settings. We'll miss you, but we'll delete your data.
We Can End Things Too
If you violate these terms (especially the "please don't" stuff), we might suspend or terminate your account. We'll try to warn you first unless it's something serious.
Changes
We might update these terms. If it's something significant, we'll give you notice. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.

Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Just One Plan ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") governing your access to and use of the Just One Plan mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a household or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that household or organization to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law
- You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations
Account Registration
Creating an Account
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as needed
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
Household Accounts
The Service allows you to invite household members to share meal plans and shopping lists. By inviting others:
- You represent that you have their permission to add them
- You accept responsibility for their compliance with these Terms
- You understand they will have access to shared household data
Subscription and Payments
Free and Paid Tiers
The Service offers both free and paid subscription tiers:

Billing
Web Subscriptions (Stripe):
- Billed monthly or annually based on your selection
- Payment is charged at the start of each billing period
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on file
iOS Subscriptions (Apple):
- Billed through your Apple ID account
- Subject to Apple's terms and conditions
- Manage subscriptions through Apple's subscription management
Android Subscriptions (Google Play):
- Billed through your Google Play account
- Subject to Google Play's terms and conditions
- Manage subscriptions through Google Play's subscription management
Free Trials
We may offer free trial periods. At the end of a trial:
- Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription
- You will be charged the applicable subscription fee
- You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will:
- Take effect at the start of your next billing period
- Be communicated to you in advance via email or in-app notification
- Not affect your current billing period
Refunds
Web Subscriptions: Contact us at support@justoneplan.com within 14 days of purchase for refund requests. Refunds are granted at our discretion.
iOS Subscriptions: Refunds are handled by Apple. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.
Android Subscriptions: Refunds are handled by Google. Contact Google Play Support for refund requests.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Web: Through account settings or by contacting support
- iOS: Through Apple's subscription management
- Android: Through Google Play's subscription management
Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- Your account reverts to the free tier after the billing period ends
- Your data is retained (you can export it before downgrading)
Acceptable Use
Permitted Uses
You may use the Service to:
- Plan meals for yourself and your household
- Create and manage shopping lists
- Import and store recipes for personal use
- Share meal plans with household members
- Use AI features for meal suggestions and recipe parsing
Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
Misuse the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without permission
Abuse Content Features
- Upload malicious content, malware, or viruses
- Import copyrighted recipes you don't have rights to redistribute
- Share content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
- Use AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
Harm Others
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect or harvest user information without consent
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
Commercial Misuse
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service
- Use the Service to operate a competing product
- Scrape or copy substantial portions of content
Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Investigate suspected violations
- Remove or disable access to violating content
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
User Content
Your Content
"User Content" means any content you create, upload, or share through the Service, including:
- Recipes you create or import
- Meal plans and shopping lists
- Household information
- Preferences and settings
- Feedback and suggestions
Ownership
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store, process, and display your User Content to provide the Service
- Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service
- Create backups for data protection
This license is:
- Non-exclusive
- Royalty-free
- Worldwide
- Limited to operating and improving the Service
Responsibility for Content
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that:
- You own or have rights to all content you upload
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights
- Your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws
Content Removal
We may remove User Content that:
- Violates these Terms
- Is illegal or harmful
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Is flagged by other users and found to be inappropriate
Intellectual Property
Our Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Just One Plan and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
This includes:
- The Just One Plan name, logo, and branding
- App design, layout, and user interface
- Software, algorithms, and code
- Documentation and help content
License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Download and install our mobile application on devices you own or control
This license does not include:
- Rights to modify, copy, or distribute the Service
- Rights to reverse engineer or extract source code
- Rights to use our trademarks without permission
Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.
Third-Party Services
Integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party services, including:
- Grocery delivery services (Instacart, Kroger, etc.)
- Recipe websites for import
- Payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google)
- Authentication providers (Sign in with Apple, Google)
Third-Party Terms
Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, including their:
- Availability or reliability
- Content or accuracy
- Privacy practices
- Terms of service
Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or control these sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
AI Features and Limitations
AI-Powered Features
The Service includes AI-powered features for:
- Recipe parsing and extraction
- Meal suggestions based on preferences
- Smart product matching
AI Limitations
AI features are provided "as is." You acknowledge that:
- AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies
- AI suggestions are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice
- You should verify important information independently
- AI features may be updated or changed at any time
Dietary and Allergy Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: While we strive to accurately track dietary restrictions and allergies, the Service is not a substitute for reading food labels or consulting healthcare professionals.
You are solely responsible for:
- Verifying ingredients meet your dietary needs
- Checking food labels for allergens
- Consulting healthcare providers for medical dietary advice
- Making safe food choices for yourself and your household
We are not liable for any adverse reactions, allergic responses, or health issues resulting from reliance on the Service.
Disclaimers
"As Is" Basis
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
No Professional Advice
The Service does not provide:
- Medical or health advice
- Nutritional counseling
- Dietary treatment recommendations
- Allergy management guidance
Always consult qualified professionals for health-related decisions.
Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be:
- Available at all times
- Uninterrupted or error-free
- Free of viruses or harmful components
- Compatible with all devices or systems
Limitation of Liability
Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JUST ONE PLAN, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Unauthorized access to your data
- Third-party conduct on the Service
- Any other matter relating to the Service
Liability Cap
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR
- ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100)
Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Just One Plan and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your User Content
- Any misrepresentation by you
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you.
Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through the app settings
- Contacting us at support@justoneplan.com
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Pose a risk to other users or the Service
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- We may delete your User Content (after a reasonable retention period)
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect, including: Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution
Data Export
Before terminating your account, we recommend exporting your data through the app's export feature.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at legal@justoneplan.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration Agreement
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
You and Just One Plan agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service ("Dispute") will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that:
- Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible
- Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You and Just One Plan agree that any Dispute will be resolved on an individual basis. Neither party may participate in a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding.
Arbitration Procedures
Arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Opt-Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@justoneplan.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. The notice must include your name, address, email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.
Exceptions
This arbitration agreement does not apply to:
- Disputes that qualify for small claims court
- Actions to protect intellectual property rights
- Claims for injunctive or equitable relief
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. If arbitration does not apply, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date
- We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may terminate your account.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Just One Plan regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights, except as explicitly stated.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, or government actions.

We may provide notices to you via email, in-app notifications, or posting on the Service. You may provide notices to us at the contact information below.
Headings
Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation of these Terms.

Platform-Specific Terms
Apple App Store
If you download the Service from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Just One Plan, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
- Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the Service
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
Google Play Store
If you download the Service from Google Play:
- These Terms are between you and Just One Plan, not Google
- Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
- You agree to Google Play's Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are provided in English. Translations may be provided for convenience, but the English version governs.
BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE.
